What do we offer for cyclists?

The Hotel Baseltor is the ideal starting point or stopover on your cycle tour. We offer:

  • a free, lockable bike storage room within the city walls – where could your bikes be safer?
  • a power socket in the bike storage room, where you can charge your power-hungry bikes
  • A ‘Bike Care Box’ with tools and a repair kit, including a pump
  • For a small extra charge, you can put together a packed lunch from the breakfast buffet to take with you on your journey
  • We’re happy to top up your water bottle for the rest of your journey
  • On request, we’ll wash your sweaty clothes free of charge
  • Relax on the terrace with a cool drink after your ride

Don’t have your own bike?

At our partner hotel, La Couronne, e-bikes and standard bikes can be hired subject to availability. E-bikes can be hired for three hours at a cost of CHF 25.00 or for a full day at a cost of CHF 45.00. Simply fill in the contact form below.

At Rent a Bike at Solothurn railway station, you can easily hire bikes online for a day trip or even for a longer period. From children’s bikes and mountain bikes to comfortable e-bikes, there’s a bike to suit everyone. In addition to a wide range of collection and return points, Solothurn railway station is also available as a collection or return point and is a 10-minute walk from the Baseltor.
