Restaurant Baseltor

Mediterranean slow food

Our restaurant is steeped in the cooperative tradition, and despite being straightforward and unpretentious, its cuisine has been awarded 12 GaultMillau points. Head Chef Pia Camponovo and her team take a range of local produce and turn it into Mediterranean slow food with an oriental twist.

Our premises

Would you like to find out more about our premises in advance? Then you’ve come to the right place. In this section, we present our various premises with pictures and all the important details. This makes it easy for you to find the right room for your event or special celebration. Be inspired and experience unforgettable moments at Baseltor!

The restaurant – ground floor

The dining area on the ground floor is the liveliest part of our restaurant. From coffee at breakfast to digestifs in the evening, there is always something going on here in the mornings, at lunchtime and in the evenings. In the middle of the room is the so-called ‘long table’, a pub table that invites guests to sit together and is suitable for groups of up to 12 people.

First floor

Our second dining room is located on the first floor. This part of the restaurant is usually a little quieter and is therefore particularly suitable for groups. The room can also be reserved for exclusive events.

The Séparée

Where there used to be a coffee bar many years ago, guests now dine in the Séparée. Surrounded by home-preserved provisions and with a view into the kitchen, guests experience the Baseltor in an even more authentic way than usual. The Séparée is also suitable for group events for up to 16 people and can be booked exclusively for your event.
